Internal Carotid Artery Dissection with Subsequent Cerebral Embolism - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit features a left carotid artery dissection with subsequent brain injuries. An orientation image of female silhoutte shows the pathway of blood flow from the heart to the brain. The next four images demonstrate: normal blood flow in the left carotid artery, post-accident condition with a tear of the inner layer of the arterial wall, formation of a blood clot (thrombus) around the tear, and formation of embolus. The final graphic depicts a left cerebral infarction resulting from the embolus becoming lodged in the brain and prohibiting blow flow to the brain tissue.

"I thought you might want to know that after we sent a copy of your illustration to the defendants, with a copy to the insurance company, they increased their offer by an additional million dollars and the case was settled for $1,900,000.00.

I appreciate your help!"

"For us, the defining feature of effective demonstrative evidence is whether, by itself, the piece will tell the story of the case. Medical legal Art provides our firm with illustrations and animations that are clear and persuasive. Their exhibits tell the story in a way that allows the jury to understand a very complex subject, very quickly."
