Acromioplasty - Shoulder Impingement Syndrome Surgery. This exhibit features two anterior images of a male right shoulder during a decompression surgery for impingement syndrome. The initial image shows an open incision to expose the shoulder joint. The second image details a bone bur resection of the distal inferior acromion process, bone spurs etc. to decompress the joint and relieve pain.
