Lower Back Injury with Surgical Repair - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This is a custom board that illustrates the two surgeries described in the bottom half of the previous board.

The top half shows the three steps for the anterior procedure. This includes the retroperitoneal incision to access the lumbar vertebrae, the discectomy at L4-5, and the placing of the implant and anterior hardware.

The bottom half illustrates three steps of the posterior approach. This includes the small bilateral posterior incisions at L4 and L5, the placement of the pedicle screws, and the use of a sextant to insert the fusion rods.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"I would like to thank all of you at Medical Legal Art for all the assistance you provided. It was a result of the excellent, timely work that we were able to conclude the case successfully.

"Medical Legal Art wins our firm's highest accolades for professionalism and exhibit quality. In fact, many of the doctors I work with request color copies of your outstanding artwork to show to patients during the informed consent process."

Jeanne Dolan, BSRN, AlNC

"You and your company are wonderful. Your service, turnaround time, quality and price were better than I could have asked for. Please add me to your long list of satisfied customers."

Robert F. Linton, Jr.

"I wanted to thank you for the terrific job you did illustrating my client's injuries. The case was settled at the pre-suit mediation, and I believe a good part of the success we had was due to the medical legal art you prepared.

Your work received the ultimate compliment at the conclusion of the mediation. The hospital risk manager took the exhibit with them at the conclusion of mediation, and will be using it to train nurses on how to prevent bed sores..."
