Post Accident Injuries - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This is a single board exhibit that illustrates the multiple injuries the client sustained after being in motor vehicle collusion.\r\n\r\nThere is a full figure illustration giving an overall view to her multiple injuries. These are all labelled and include: a scalp laceration, concussion, tenderness of the cervical spine, pnuemothorax and subpleural parenchymal contusion in the left lung, lacerations on the liver, left kidney infarction, diastatsis of the left sacroiliac joint, and objects trapped in tissues of the right elbow.\r\n\r\nThe three of the smaller insets are zoomed in images of the full figure to emphasize certain injuries. The first is a close-up of the client’s face to better show the facial lacerations, bruising, and swelling around the left eye and bottom lip. The second shows an unclose view of the lacerations on the right lobe of the liver. The final inset better illustrates the sacral fracture in the region of S3-4.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"For us, the defining feature of effective demonstrative evidence is whether, by itself, the piece will tell the story of the case. Medical legal Art provides our firm with illustrations and animations that are clear and persuasive. Their exhibits tell the story in a way that allows the jury to understand a very complex subject, very quickly."

James D. Horwitz
Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder, P.C.
Bridgeport, CT

"Medical illustrations are essential during trial for any medical malpractice case. The people at MLA have the uncanny ability of creating medical illustrations that simplify the most complex of medical concepts and human anatomy to a lay audience. The exhibits of MLA allow experts to easily describe complex concepts and human anatomy in a manner that could not be done otherwise.

In addition, their custom illustrations show in great detail the extent of injuries suffered and the devastating effects they have had on the client's anatomy. These custom illustration can show, side by side, the body before and after a catastrophic injury. The effect of this juxtaposition is unmatched by any testimony that can be adduced at the time of trial.

Even jurors after trial have commented on the ease with which they grasp medical concepts and anatomy once the MLA exhibits were introduced and used by my experts. Even judges who have "seen it all" are thoroughly impressed by the detail and sophistication of the illustrations.

I would not want to try a case without them."

"I thought you might want to know that after we sent a copy of your illustration to the defendants, with a copy to the insurance company, they increased their offer by an additional million dollars and the case was settled for $1,900,000.00.

I appreciate your help!"

"Thank you very much for the great work on the medical exhibits. Our trial resulted in a $16 million verdict for a 9 year old boy with catastrophic injuries, and the medical illustrations definitely played key role in the trial."
