Lumbar Spine Injury with Anterior and Posterior Fusion - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit consists of a single board illustrating a pre and post operative condition, the anterior implant insertion, and the posterior fusion of a L5-S1 disc injury.\r\n\r\nThe top half of the board consists of the general pre-operative condition showing the L5-S1 disc injury and the three main steps of the anterior surgery. These three steps include the midline anterior incision and removal of bone marrow from the left iliac crest, the removal of the L5-S1 disc and implant placement, and the insertion of an anterior screw into the superior lip of S1 to secure the implant from the front.\r\n\r\nThe bottom of the board has three surgical step illustrations and the post-operative condition image. The steps include the posterior midline incision over L5-S1, a hemilaminectomy on the left hand side of L5-S1, and the placement of a rod and two locking screws unilaterally into the right hand side. The post-operative condition is also a general illustration that shows a sagittal view with the all the anterior and posterior hardware in place and labelled.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"[Your staff] was extremely efficient, cooperative and gracious and [their] efforts produced a demonstrative exhibit that we used effectively throughout our trial. The jury verdict of $3,165,000.00 was, in no small measure, due to the impact of the demonstrative evidence. You may be sure that we will call again."

"We are extremely pleased with the quality of the medical exhibits and the timely manner in which they were provided. I will certainly recommend your company to my business associates who could benefit from your services. Please tell Brian Wilson [Director of Content Development, Senior Medical Illustrator] that he did an exceptional job on these exhibits."

"Medical illustrations are essential evidence in personal injury litigation and MLA is simply the best I've found at producing high-quality illustrations. Your illustrators are not only first-class artists, but creative and responsive. Your turn around time is as good as it gets. My clients have won over $60 million in jury verdicts and I can't recall a case which did not include one of your exhibits. On behalf of those clients, thanks and keep up the great work!"
