Severe Crush Injuries to the Left Foot and Subsequent Severe Flat Foot Deformity - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This medical exhibit compares the normal anatomy of the left foot. post-accident condition and the subsequent condition based on the films. The first image features a lateral view of the foot. The bones of the foot are visible beneath the skin and the complex arrangement of ligaments will be included. All the pertinent structures are labeled. The main joints that move during walking are also identified specifically the ankle joint and the transverse tarsal joint (talo- navicular and calcaneo-cuboid joints). We are included an x-ray of the right foot in the lateral view which shows normal anatomy and alignment. The next image depicts the lateral view of the foot as depicted in the post-accident films. It is clear that this individual sustained a comminuted left calcaneal fracture. The marked disruption of the structures involved in walking. This image are based specifically on the film study provided. The final image shows the most current condition revealing a misaligned and deformed foot as shown in the film study provided. It is clear that even though the fractures have healed there is misalignment of the subtalar joint, bony overgrowth of the healed calcaneal fracture, and the joint degeneration resulting from arthritis and severe flat foot deformity.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"I would like to thank all of you at Medical Legal Art for all the assistance you provided. It was a result of the excellent, timely work that we were able to conclude the case successfully.

I feel very confident that our paths will cross again."

"I just wanted to let you know that after several days on trial, I settled [my client's] construction accident case for $4.5 million. Immediately after the jury was discharged, I spoke with several jurors who told me that they really appreciated the medical illustrations for their clarity in dealing with [my client's] devastating injuries. They also expressed their gratitude in being able to read from a distance all of the notations without difficulty. Obviously, the boards were visually persuasive. I am certain that this contributed to our successful result."

Michael Gunzburg, Esq.
Attorney at Law.

"We got a defense verdict yesterday! Your exhibit was extremely helpful in showing the jury how unlikely it is to damage all four of the nerve branches which control the sense of taste."

Karen M. Talbot
Silverman Bernheim & Vogel, P.C.
Philadeplphia, PA

"For modern audiences, it is absolutely essential to use medical demonstrative evidence to convey the severity and extent of physical injuries to a jury. Your company's high quality illustrations of our client's discectomy surgery, combined with strong expert testimony, allowed the jury to fully appreciate the significance of our client's injuries.

We are very pleased with a verdict exceeding $297,000.00, far in excess of the $20,000.00 initially offered by the defendant. The medical demonstrative evidence provided by Medical Legal Art was an asset we could not have afforded to have been without."
