Left Subtotal Glossectomy - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing

This medical exhibit begins with one sagittal (side cut-away) view of the head and neck offering a clear view of the oral cavity. The tongue is not be shown in cut-section so t the left side of the tongue stills shows illustrate the large 5 to 6 cm tumor of the lateral aspect. This image provides a clear appreciation of the pre-operative condition. The next image shows the post-operative condition revealing that 80% of the tongue has been removed.
