Attempted Cholecystectomy with Resulting Bile Duct Injuries - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit features three simplified enlarged anterior views of the biliary region including the gallbladder, biliary ducts, lower liver and a portion of the duodenum, as well as the various arteries of this region. These three views allow us to clearly compare the following conditions: Normal anatomy providing an overall orientation to the anatomy with each of the major structures labeled including the ducts and arteries. This view clearly shows how the gallbladder is connected to the common bile duct via the cystic duct; Proper post-operative condition with a clip on the cystic duct with the gallbladder and proximal cystic duct removed but all other structures untouched; Actual post-operative condition shows the common bile duct clipped below the level of the cystic duct with the proximal bile duct, common hepatic duct and right confluence of the hepatic ducts removed. The left hepatic duct is shown transected at the level of the liver, the stump of the right hepatic duct will extend out from the liver and a separate smaller aberrant hepatic duct will be shown. Each of these transected ducts is actively leaking bile. The The right hepatic artery is also transected.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"Your firm is great to work with and, most importantly for me, you get the job done on time and with the utmost professionalism. You should be proud of all those you employ, from KJ to Ben B. I've been especially pleased over the years with the work of Brian and Alice, both of whom seem to tolerate my idiosycratic compulsion to edit, but I've not found a bad apple in the bunch (and, as you know, I've used your firm a bunch!). I look forward to our continued professional relationship."

"[I] have come to rely upon the Doe Report and your great staff of illustrators for all my medical malpractice cases. … Please know that I enthusiastically recommend you to all my colleagues.

Frank Rothermel
Bernhardt & Rothermel
"I have a medical illustration created by Medical Legal Art at the beginning of every case to tell the client's story, usually before I depose the defendant doctor. The work product and cost-efficiency are outstanding. It is a situation where, as a trial lawyer, I don't leave home without it."

Rockne Onstad
Attorney at Law
Austin, TX

"The Doe Report's Do-It-Yourself Exhibits program enables easy customization of complex medical exhibits at a reasonable expense and in a timely manner. Practically speaking, custom medical exhibits are no longer an unthinkable luxury, but a routine necessity."
