Surgical Enucleation of the Left Eye - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing

This medical exhibit illustrates the key steps of dramatic enucleation procedure. The first image illustrates the phthisis bulbi of the left eye making revealing that the original injury has left this eye shrunken and non-functional. The following images shows the globe of the eye being extracted from the orbit and cut away, as well as the placement of the intra-orbital prosthesis.
