This 3D medical animation shows part of the process of in vitro fertilization, a procedure used to treat infertility. The animation begins with a view of female anatomy, including the vagina and uterus located within the bony pelvis. After several eggs have been fertilized with sperm outside the body, the embryos are transferred into the uterine cavity using a syringe and thin tube.
