Displaced Feeding Tube with Resulting Peritonitis - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit depicts displaced feeding tube with resulting peritonitis with five images. The first image portrays normal anatomy showing that there is normally a space between the stomach and the abdominal wall. The second image pictures the initial placement of the PEG tube with the tube inserted through the abdominal wall and into the stomach with the balloon inflated to hold it in place. The third image features displacement of the tube with a large arrow showing the tube being withdrawn out of the stomach and out through the abdominal wall. The fifth image illustrates subsequent replacement of the tube showing the tube reinserted through the abdominal wall but not inside the stomach. Finally, one overall anterior cut-away view of the abdomen illustrates the resulting condition.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"Medical Legal Art wins our firm's highest accolades for professionalism and exhibit quality. In fact, many of the doctors I work with request color copies of your outstanding artwork to show to patients during the informed consent process."

Jeanne Dolan, BSRN, AlNC
Legal Nurse Consultant
Golden Valley, MN

"For modern audiences, it is absolutely essential to use medical demonstrative evidence to convey the severity and extent of physical injuries to a jury. Your company's high quality illustrations of our client's discectomy surgery, combined with strong expert testimony, allowed the jury to fully appreciate the significance of our client's injuries.

We are very pleased with a verdict exceeding $297,000.00, far in excess of the $20,000.00 initially offered by the defendant. The medical demonstrative evidence provided by Medical Legal Art was an asset we could not have afforded to have been without."

Todd J. Kenyon
Attorney at Law
Minneapolis, MN

"Thank you very much for the great work on the medical exhibits. Our trial resulted in a $16 million verdict for a 9 year old boy with catastrophic injuries, and the medical illustrations definitely played key role in the trial."
