Left Lower Leg Fractures - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit depicts fractures of the left lower leg with surgical fixation. The first image shows the pre-operative condition, with transverse, open fractures of the tibia and fibula. The next three images depict multiple steps of the repair procedure, including the incision, debridement of the open wound, reduction of the tibial fracture and placement of an intramedullary nail in the tibia. The final image describes the post-operative condition with the nail and locking screws in place.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"It is my experience that it's much more effective to show a jury what happened than simply to tell a jury what happened. In this day and age where people are used to getting information visually, through television and other visual media, I would be at a disadvantage using only words.

I teach a Litigation Process class at the University of Baltimore Law Schooland use [Medical Legal Art's] animation in my class. Students always saythat they never really understood what happened to [to my client] until theysaw the animation.

Animations are powerful communication tools that should be used wheneverpossible to persuade juries."

"We got a defense verdict yesterday! Your exhibit was extremely helpful in showing the jury how unlikely it is to damage all four of the nerve branches which control the sense of taste."

The medical doctors, both treating physicians and expert witnesses, have commented on the accuracy and professionalism of the medical illustrations. Most importantly, your prompt service and attention upon even short notice has been tremendous. "I thought you might want to know that after we sent a copy of your illustration to the defendants, with a copy to the insurance company, they increased their offer by an additional million dollars and the case was settled for $1,900,000.00.

I appreciate your help!"
