Initial Attempts at Wound Coverage - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This medical exhibit features a lateral view of the right foot and ankle illustrating the post-accident external appearance. This image reveals the dramatic degloving wound with skin torn away from the dorsal and lateral aspect of the foot and ankle revealing the underlying extensor tendons and bone. The key steps of the anterolateral thigh flap graft and skin grafting procedure to cover the extensive foot wound are shown. These images include the harvest and placement of the large myocutaneous flap from the thigh and the harvest and placement of the skin grafts from the opposite thigh.
"For modern audiences, it is absolutely essential to use medical
demonstrative evidence to convey the severity and extent of physical
injuries to a jury. Your company's high quality illustrations of our
client's discectomy surgery, combined with strong expert testimony, allowed
the jury to fully appreciate the significance of our client's injuries.
We are very pleased with a verdict exceeding $297,000.00, far in excess of
the $20,000.00 initially offered by the defendant. The medical demonstrative
evidence provided by Medical Legal Art was an asset we could not have
afforded to have been without."

"I would like to thank all of you at Medical Legal Art for all the
assistance you provided. It was a result of the excellent, timely work
that we were able to conclude the case successfully.
I feel very confident that our paths will cross again."

"Your firm is great to work with and, most importantly for me, you get the
job done on time and with the utmost professionalism. You should be proud of
all those you employ, from KJ to Ben B. I've been especially pleased over
the years with the work of Brian and Alice, both of whom seem to tolerate my
idiosycratic compulsion to edit, but I've not found a bad apple in the bunch
(and, as you know, I've used your firm a bunch!).
I look forward to our continued professional relationship."

"Medical illustrations are essential evidence in personal injury litigation and MLA is simply the best I've found at producing high-quality illustrations. Your illustrators are not only first-class artists, but creative and responsive. Your turn around time is as good as it gets. My clients have won over $60 million in jury verdicts and I can't recall a case which did not include one of your exhibits. On behalf of those clients, thanks and keep up the great work!"

trials and for use in the courtroom. We do not provide legal or medical
