Severe Facial Fractures with Surgical Repairs - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing

This stock medical exhibit depicts a male patient with severe facial fractures. The first image is an anterior view of the pre-operative skull, with fractures of the nasal bone, left zygomatic arch, left mandible, both orbits, both maxillary sinuses, and avulsion of multiple teeth. Next, three images describe the following steps of the repair procedure: the placement of arch bars and the wiring shut of the jaw, intraoral exposure and plating of the right maxillary fractures, and plating of the left sided fractures. The final image is a skull showing the post-operative condition, with the fractures reduced and all of the hardware in place.
