Scalp Laceration and Brain Injury with Damage to the Axons - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit describes widespread traumatic injuries in a young girl. It begins with an anterior upper body portrait with the bones and affected organs visible beneath the skin. This image shows the head laceration and left frontal bone fracture, right lung contusion, left forearm contusion, and multiple pelvic fractures. Next, an anterior view of the skull shows the left frontal bone and left orbital fractures. A cross sectional view of the head shows the scattered subarachnoid hemorrhage. Finally, an inset describes the diffuse axonal injuries by showing a normal nerve cell and one in which the axon is twisted and torn due to trauma.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"Medical Legal Art wins our firm's highest accolades for professionalism and exhibit quality. In fact, many of the doctors I work with request color copies of your outstanding artwork to show to patients during the informed consent process."

"I wanted to take some time out to let you know what a wonderful job you did with the 'collapsed lung/fractured rib' illustrations. They were both detailed and accurate. My medical expert was comfortable working with them and he spent at least an hour explaining to the jury the anatomy of the lungs, the ribs and the injuries depicted in the illustrations. Needless to say, the jury was riveted to the doctor during his testimony.

The jury returned a verdict for $800,000.00 and I'm sure we would not have done so well if not for the visualizations we were able to put forth with your assistance. Lastly, my special thanks to Alice [Senior Medical Illustrator] who stayed late on Friday night and patiently dealt with my last minute revisions."

"The Doe Report is a visual feast of medical information for personal injury lawyers."

"For us, the defining feature of effective demonstrative evidence is whether, by itself, the piece will tell the story of the case. Medical legal Art provides our firm with illustrations and animations that are clear and persuasive. Their exhibits tell the story in a way that allows the jury to understand a very complex subject, very quickly."
