L4-5, L5-S1 Spinal Injuries with Subsequent Surgical Fusions - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit depicts L4-5 and L5-S1 spinal injuries with subsequent surgical fusions in a series of illustrations. The first illustration shows the pre-operative condition in a mid-sagittal view of the lumbo-sacral spine. In it, disc herniations are seen at L4-5 and L5-S1, causing compression of nerve roots. The second illustration shows the pre-operative condition in a superior view of the herniated disc causing compression of the nerve root. The third illustration shows the beginning of the discectomy procedure: anterior incisions are made, exposing the interspaces and the iliac crest. Cancellous bone grafts are harvested from the left iliac crest. The fourth illustration depicts a sagittal view of the lumbo-sacral spine, showing the removal of the L4-5 and L5-S1 herniated discs. The fifth illustration shows an anterior view of the lumbar spine, showing the filling of BAK cages with bone grafts and insertion of the cages into the interspaces for fusion. The sixth illustration depicts a sagittal view of the post-operative condition of the fusion, showing the BAK cages and cancellous bone grafts in place.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"[Your staff] was extremely efficient, cooperative and gracious and [their] efforts produced a demonstrative exhibit that we used effectively throughout our trial. The jury verdict of $3,165,000.00 was, in no small measure, due to the impact of the demonstrative evidence. You may be sure that we will call again."

"A few words about The Doe Report: recently in a brachial plexus injury case, we used an image from The Doe Report to demonstrate the injury. We downloaded the PDF file image, and were amazed at the quality. The hard copies that you sent were even more clear. As well, we could not have been happier when you customized the image and reversed the injury from the left shoulder to the right shoulder, which is where our client's injury was.

The speed and cost-effectiveness of the product made it the perfect tool for our purposes. We will use The Doe Report again in future cases."

"We are extremely pleased with the quality of the medical exhibits and the timely manner in which they were provided. I will certainly recommend your company to my business associates who could benefit from your services. Please tell Brian Wilson [Director of Content Development, Senior Medical Illustrator] that he did an exceptional job on these exhibits."
