Varicose Veins - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing

This exhibit features three side by side cut-sections through a typical venous valve. The first two images denote elements of normal venous function and bloodflow. The second image reveals a faulty valve resulting in venous insufficiency and backflow of the blood.
