This stock medical exhibit depicts a pfannenstiel incision with dissection of anterior fascia. The first step shows an elliptical incision being made across the lower abdomen. Next, a fascial incision is made and fascia is dissected away. The incision is retracted up and dissection is carried out with a cautery device.
