This full color stock medical exhibit depicts the mechanism of Reflex Sympathetic Disorder or Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (RSD/CRPS). A series of images illustrate the mechanisms continuous cycle and include the initial pain impulse, the triggered response and the inflammatory response that causes pain and swelling. In addition to these images, a second set of images illustrate a nerve block injection that is utilized in an attempt to interrupt the cycle of pain.
