Basilar Artery Aneurysm with Subsequent Rupture - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit portrays an aneurysm in the basilar artery with subsequent rupture of that aneurysm. First the viewer is given an orientation of the brain and its arterial supply using an inferior view. Next, the normal anatomy of the arterial supply is shown in more detail with the basilar artery clearly labeled. Then, an aneurysm of the basilar artery is depicted. The last image demonstrates the rupture of the aneurysm causing a brain hemorrhage.
