Left Hip Fracture with Surgical Fixation of the Femur - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing

This full color stock medical exhibit features illustrations depicting a traumatic left hip fracture and steps from the surgical fixation of the femur. The first illustration provides an interpretive illustration of the pre-operative condition based on the patients x-ray film and highlights the fracture to the femoral neck. A series of images then illustrate the incision as it is made into the hip to expose the top of the femur, the insertion of a medullary road and a lag screw as well as the post-operative condition.
