Implantation of Spinal Cord Stimulator - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This medical exhibit depicts the implantation of a spinal cord stimulator and the battery pack. Image A shows the spinal cord stimulator lead being advanced from an incision in the C7-T1 level up to the C3 epidural space. Image B shows the stimulator lead being secured to the C7-T1 region and connected to the battery pack. Image C shows the connector lead already tunneled under the skin and the battery pack being placed into a subcutaneous pocket. A post-operative illustration provides an orientation for each step of the procedure.
