Triple Level Posterior Lumbar Fusion - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit depicts a triple level posterior lumbar fusion in a series of illustrations. The first illustration shows the creation of posterior incisions to expose the fusion site and the left iliac crest. Bone graft material is then harvested from the left iliac crest. The second illustration shows the decortication of the L3-4, L4-5 and L5-S1 transverse processes and the performance of facetectomies. The third illustration shows the placement of pedicle screws and bone graft material. The fourth illustration shows the securing of the remaining fusion hardware to the pedicle screws.
