This exhibit depicts a depressed left frontal fracture of the skull and orbital roof with brain laceration. Initial repair include: lifting the bone fragments, debridement of the brain tissue, suturing dural lacerations, use of Gelfoam sponge on top of the orbital roof, use of pericranium to reconstruct the posterior wall of the frontal sinus handsome used over the orbital roof, then DuraGen is placed over this. Some of the bone fragments are placed back and fixated with micro plates and screws. Still there is bone missing and to cover the defect, a titanium meshed plate is affixed with screws to the skull to make a smooth surface.
