Lumbar Disc Herniation - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing

This stock medical exhibit illustrates a L5 lumbar disc herniation. Two of the actual post-accident films are enlarged and included in this exhibit. A sagittal (cutaway) view interpretaion of the first film portrays the lumbar spine injuries at levels L2 and L5. A second interpretation (superior view) clearly illustrates the herniated disc at L5 vertebral level. Also, a posterior view is included to portray the radiation of pain from the lower back (L2-L5) down the legs.
