Ruptured Retrocecal Appendix - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing

This illustrative board consist of four images: an anterior view of a female torso showing the colon and the appendix behind the cecum with rupture at the base. It also shows a retrocecal abscess and liquid stool walled-off between the psoas muscle and the abscess. The area of the cecum is enlarged in a separate insert to better appreciate the anatomical relationship of this structures. The third illustration is a color interpretation of an axial view of a CT scan showing again the ruptured retrocecal appendix and abscess.
