Traumatic Injuries to the Soft tissues of the Neck - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This medical exhibit features one large illustration depicting the mechanism injury involved in the bike accident. This image is from a slightly anterolateral perspective so as to include the pertinent anatomy. The cervical spine and surrounding soft tissues: Muscles and nerves are shown clearly beneath the skin. This illustration focuses on the swelling of the soft tissues: skin, muscles and the subsequent hematoma that developed.rn rnThe next image is based on the CT Evaluation and features the injuries to the soft tissue of the neck set on the appropriate setting. Gas and the swelling of the soft tissues over the right side of the neck are the focus of this image. The label reads “Air within the soft tissues of the neck and hematoma in right side of neck.” The original films are placed along side the interpretative illustration for reference.
