The extensive nature of the large incision is illustrated in the first dramatic image. Next, the dissection of the neck is shown. An set shows the specific pathological changes to the thyroid gland and the extent of the tumor. The next image reveal the ligation of the vessels and the then finally the removal of the thyroid, larynx and hyoid bone.
