This exhibit depicts a comminuted and displaced fracture of the patella with bone loss and open reduction of the fracture. The surgical repair here illustrated consist of: fixation of the patella fragments using K-wires and a screw, in addition the extensor mechanism is reinforced with Krackow stitches.
