Right Upper Extremity Injuries - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit begins with one large anterior view of the upper torso. In this image, the bones, major nerves and arteries are shown transparently beneath the skin. This provides an overall orientation to the sites of the various injuries including the fractures of the scapula, ulna and radius, the damage to the axillary artery and the injuries to the brachial plexus. Also included are enlarged skeletal views of each fracture site. In addition, two cross sectional views of the forearm are included to compare normal anatomy versus anatomy demonstrating compartment syndrome. The normal anatomy image shows how the vessels and nerves of the arm run within various fascial compartments along with the muscles of the arm. The cross-section showing compartment syndrome shows how severe swelling and edema within these compartments cause compression of the arteries and nerves leading to pain and devascularization.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"I wanted to thank you for the terrific job you did illustrating my client's injuries. The case was settled at the pre-suit mediation, and I believe a good part of the success we had was due to the medical legal art you prepared.

Your work received the ultimate compliment at the conclusion of the mediation. The hospital risk manager took the exhibit with them at the conclusion of mediation, and will be using it to train nurses on how to prevent bed sores..."

"Thank you very much for the great work on the medical exhibits. Our trial resulted in a $16 million verdict for a 9 year old boy with catastrophic injuries, and the medical illustrations definitely played key role in the trial."

"I thought you might want to know that after we sent a copy of your illustration to the defendants, with a copy to the insurance company, they increased their offer by an additional million dollars and the case was settled for $1,900,000.00.

I appreciate your help!"
