Pulmonary Embolism - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This medical exhibit uses three images to depict fatal pulmonary embolism from the lower left leg to a cut section of the heart and lungs. Initially, small emboli in the lungs are shown to block the blood supply to part of the lungs. Ultimately, larger emboli are seen to block the right ventricle and the pulmonary trunk and infarction of a lobe of the right lung is pictured.
